Recently, a 220kV/13.8kV/60MVA power transformer, custom-built by CEEG for the Spanish power grid, has successfully passed all tests and been shipped. This achievement marks another technological breakthrough for the company in the field of high-end special transformers, supporting the modernization of European power grids.
Acting as the "heart" of the grid's reactive power compensation and voltage support system, this transformer is specifically designed to drive large-scale synchronous condenser systems. It plays a critical role in enhancing grid stability and energy efficiency.
Addressing extreme operational challenges such as those posed by its ultra-low impedance (as low as 5%)—including significant short-circuit current impact—CEEG overcame numerous technical hurdles. The core focus on developing "exceptional short-circuit withstand capability" has resulted in a piece of green energy equipment that combines high efficiency with superior reliability.
