These are the most immediate impressions when walking into CEEG’s transformer production base in the Jiangning Binjiang Development Zone in Nanjing.
With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence and the widening supply-demand gap in overseas markets, power demand is experiencing exponential growth. Seizing this development opportunity, CEEG Transformer Co., Ltd. has seen a continuous increase in orders on hand since the start of the new year, providing strong support for a strong “first-quarter opening.”
In the CEEG transformer production workshop, Chairman and President Lu Han spoke with great excitement. In 2025, the company achieved a record-high order volume, laying a solid high baseline for this year’s development.
The energy storage step-up converter integrated machine can be called the ‘vanguard’ of CEEG’s overseas expansion. This product integrates transformers and converters into one unit, enabling factory prefabrication and plug-and-play installation on site, significantly shortening the construction period.
In 2025, the company undertook a 12.5 GWh energy storage project in the Middle East, setting an industry record with a single order for 585 units. This year, the company will ensure high-quality delivery of the project while simultaneously expanding new energy storage orders in the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.
Currently, CEEG’s products have entered overseas markets including the United Kingdom, Dubai, Czech Republic, Finland, and Sweden. Its international footprint continues to expand, demonstrating the strong competitiveness of ‘China Intelligent Manufacturing’ through outstanding performance.
In the Binjiang factory workshop, rows of neatly arranged explosion-proof dry-type transformers for mining are about to be loaded and shipped to Guizhou.
From introducing foreign technology in 2001, to overcoming heat dissipation challenges and launching the second-generation product, and then developing the industry’s first third-generation product with multi-channel active cooling technology in 2024 — CEEG has spent more than 20 years completing the transformation from catching up to surpassing.
Lu Han spoke with full confidence about the new products, noting that inquiries from customers in Indonesia, the Philippines, and other regions are pouring in. He believes these products will become highly sought-after solutions for intelligent mining construction.
The surge in AI computing power demand has opened a new window of opportunity for our amorphous alloy energy-saving transformers. "The amorphous alloy strip has an average thickness of just 22.7 microns — less than one-tenth the thickness of an A4 sheet of paper. We wind it into a three-dimensional closed-loop core. This is a key technology that not only significantly reduces no-load losses but also extends equipment life and lowers noise, making it the preferred energy-saving choice for data centers and similar applications,” said Lu Han.
Strong R&D capabilities provide the foundation for CEEG’s continuous innovation. The company operates two CNAS-accredited national laboratories. Its R&D platforms have been recognized as Nanjing Municipal Engineering Technology Research Center, Enterprise Technology Center, and Engineering Research Center. The company currently holds 29 authorized patents, including 11 invention patents.

CEEG is actively advancing the construction of its “digital factory,” giving every transformer its own “digital identity.”
The “one product, one code” traceability management makes the entire production process traceable and verifiable. The launch of the “Zhonghan IoT” cloud platform enables real-time transformer status monitoring, intelligent early warning, and remote operation and maintenance, ushering energy storage power stations into an unmanned intelligent era.
On the marketing side, CEEG has broken industry boundaries by becoming the first company in the transformer sector to embrace e-commerce. It has established a full presence on platforms such as Taobao, JD.com, and Amazon, with annual e-commerce sales reaching 200–300 million RMB. This has injected new vitality into traditional manufacturing through digital marketing.
